Nvidia II
Santa Clara, CA

Nvidia is preparing a new, massive building in Santa Clara, California. Called Voyager, it will be larger than the building Nvidia just finished constructing by 250,000 square feet. And just like the other building, Endeavor, Voyager will share the same wild, distinctly Nvidia design.

Nvidia opened the first building, Endeavor, in 2017 and it feels like if a person could go into an Nvidia GPU. There’s green and sharp angles everywhere. Triangle skylights pepper the roof, which is also a triangle. It’s just two stories due to local zoning laws and it appears the new building will following much of the same trends.

Voyager will be 750,000 square feet and situated next to the Endeavor in Santa Clara. This puts the combined buildings’ square-footage at 1.25 million.

Maddaugh Elementary,
Surrey, BC Canada

The $23.4 million construction contract for the new 605-seat Maddaugh Road Elementary school at 19405 76 Ave. has been awarded to Pro-Can Construction Group Corp. The project budget reflects increased funding provided by the Ministry of Education and the Surrey School District because of changing market conditions.

Maddaugh Road Elementary will help alleviate overcapacity at schools in the North Clayton area when occupied in 2021.

Preparatory construction work on the new school project is underway – within weeks of work beginning on a 12-classroom addition to Pacific Heights Elementary in South Surrey. Both projects are the result of the work and commitment of the Capital Project Office partners, including district, ministry and City of Surrey representatives, to expedite flexible and collaborative spaces needed to support today's learners.

East Kapolei Middle School,
Honolulu, HI

The Hawaii State Department of Education (HIDOE) broke ground for the first phase of its new East Kapolei Middle School.
The $59 million first phase for West Oahu's new middle school includes an administration building, library, cafeteria, classrooms, covered and open play courts, and a music building. The first phase is scheduled to be completed and open for the 2020-2021 school year.
The second phase will include health and physical education facilities as well as two additional classroom buildings, pending additional funding.
The 18-acre parcel of land will house a campus designed to support student innovation and collaborative learning. Science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) and art classrooms will be highly visible focal points of the school, with ample areas for indoor and outdoor learning and events.
